Acquion at a glance
Acquion is part of the Acquion Group. We are a relatively small company in the sense that we are flexible, have a close relationship with our clients and are completely customer driven. We are a relatively large company in the sense that we are involved with the big projects in the industry, have a unique adaptation to big and corporate companies and have a financial foundation to go along with that. It is a truly unsurpassed combination which allows us to make the difference for our clients and their business.
As a rapid expanding company we provide our services on all continents. Blending into the local culture and atmosphere is one of the strengths of our company.
Our customers
With the industry as mentioned above we relate to the biggest part of the energy and process industry: the petrochemical industry, gas and coal industry, exploration and production, power generation and new sustainable and environmental friendly developments.
We have learned that although there are a lot of parallels between our customers. But it benefits them to have a differentiated approach. We therefore defined three major customer groups in the energy and process industry:
* Petrochemical and process industry (downstream part)
* Exploration & Production (upstream part)
* Power Generation
Our activities
We set out to make a difference for our customers. The primarily focus is understanding the customers, their background, the business culture and their requirements. Most important is the translation to defining the goal the client wants to achieve and the (in) possibilities of our services to help achieve that goal. Thus we want to distinguish ourselves in the client approach and service level we provide.
Acquion provides a range of services varying from strategic advice to implementation and from creating the best financial solutions for surplus material management to managing European or Global material and equipment portfolio's.
In the course of time these services have been consolidated in three core activities. Normally we see that a specific combination of the three activities is necessary to provide the most attuned product for our customers. We are one of the first companies in the world to offer a complete integration of strategic solutions for the energy and process industry.
The three core activities are:
* Surplus Material Management (SMM). SMM includes the stocking and sales of PFF and valves as well as the stocking and sales of dedicated upstream related materials including heavy duty valves, X-mass trees, tubing hangers, chemical injectors and general OCTG.
* Asset Recovery Management (ARM). More complex operations involve the evaluation, decommissioning, packaging, sales, logistics and commissioning of complete petrochemical installations, refineries, onshore and offshore production facilities and power plants. But also the individual handling of gas-turbines, compressors work-over rigs and equipment in general.
* Consultancy. Consultancy is the third main activity of Acquion. There are a number of obvious interfaces of SMM and ARM services. The consultancy services can be divided into two main groups: strategic advice and industrial services. Our ambition is to offer full implementation of our own (strategic) advice. We can share our expertise as to extend and widen our services to an even better and focused service for our clients.
Acquion’s position
There are several reasons why we offer a best specific solution for our customers’ material management requirements.
* Material management is our core business. As it is our business we can give full commitment for a best solution. For most companies their core business is not dealing with these issues. Acquion can be trusted to give you attuned services allowing you to focus on your core business.
* Know-how and experience in the process industry.
* Our services are a tool/catalyst for optimization of the client’s core activities. As we attune our services to the customer and have expertise in the process industry we have known to generate a far better outcome of production and financial results after our involvement.
* Acquion can function as a buffer. This is especially important for companies that are sensitive to public judgement. We can step forward and present a strategy or sale of surplus materials without the name of the owner being exposed. With well directed procedures all potential liability issues for the (surplus providing) clients can be avoided.
