Cindu Chemicals BV is a unique company in many respects. We produce a wide variety of quality product and intermediate feedstocks for industrial purposes. Furthermore Cindu Chemicals is the only firm which represents a long tradition in the Dutch tar processing industry. We enjoy the reputation of a solid enterprise, which places great value on good relations with our environment, our clients and suppliers and the people who work with us.

Cindu Chemicals, an innovative business
What once was the Dutch Tar and Asphalt Industry (Nederlandse Teer- en Asfalt Industrie) expanded to become the only specialist in the field of coal tar refining in the Netherlands. Today Cindu Chemicals is considered to be an innovative and progressive company.

This is something we are proud of and intend to expand upon.

As a chemical company, we feel closely involved in the world of tomorrow. Of course, we are concerned with the technology of the future, but the improvement of our environment receives a great deal of attention too. After all, renewal must include progress, to the advantage of society as a whole. This applies to the actual product, but also to the field of technological applications and process control. On a national as well as international scale we are, by continuing innovation, maintaining the good reputation set by our predecessors since 1922.

Quality is our trademark
We are not the largest producer of coal tar chemicals in the world. Yet Cindu Chemicals is an international leader in product quality. We strive for more efficient and ecologically sound production methods. For us, the people behind Cindu, the development of new applications is a matter of prime importance.
Ultimately it is our quality awareness which has resulted in longlasting business relationships in various markets.

For years we have worked closely with our most important supplier of the raw material, coal tar, the integrated steelplant Hoogovens in IJmuiden. This relationship became more definite in 1985 as a result of the participation of the Hoogovens Group (part of the Corus Group) in Cindu Chemicals.
