More than 7,400 well-trained employees and an advanced ICT backbone ensure the services are rendered effectively. The European network includes a series of logistics distribution centres that handle the goods of many international customers. For destinations outside Europe, Frans Maas provides a door-to-door service in North America in partnership with FedEx Trade Networks, Inc. Goods flows to and from the Far East are handled by the group's own locations in Hong Kong and Malaysia and by local partners. In South Africa and India, Frans Maas works with local partners on an exclusive basis.

Frans Maas' ambition is to grow in a number of selected markets in which it can be a leading independent European logistics service provider. It will realise this position through organic growth, selective acquisitions and continuous improvement in the quality of its service.

In 2003, Frans Maas achieved a net turnover of € 1,021.4 million and a net group profit of € 11.5 million. The net profit for the year amounted to € 10.1 million.
