INCAA Computers BV is a well-established Dutch company, which is specialized in the design and manufacturing of high-tech measurement and control equipment for scientific and industrial applications for over twenty years now. In the last 10 years we have gained a lot of experience in the design of modules with analog to digital conversion and the further signalprocessing of it. For digital signalprocessing a lot of DSP’s (Digital Signal Processors) are being used these days.
Before carrying out an order for the development and delivery of a module or a system, we draw up and/or evaluate the specifications of the customer. Then our experience and questions will be discussed with the customer so that the final specifications can be drawn up.
The Research and Development department provides the diagrams, a print design, a component list, software drivers, etc. so that the production department is able to build a proto module. Parallel to the building of the prototype, the research and development department designs a testprogram for this module. As soon as the production department delivers the proto module to the research and development department, this module will be tested completely on the specifications by both the research and development department and the test department.
After full approval of the research and development department, the proto module is either delivered to the customer or tested on site Apeldoorn. After full approval of the customer, the ordered number of modules will be delivered within a number of weeks.
When executing a turn-key project as a system integrator, the above mentioned procedure will apply if one or more parts of this turn-key project have to be designed. If also standard products, hardware and software of INCAA Computers BV or products of other companies are being used, the Sales and Projects department will handle this.
This department will draw up the complete system specifications in consultation with the customer. This department will also implement the software, execute the total system integration and system test according to the specifications. The turn-key project will be delivered to the customer after they have completed the Factory Acceptance Test. After delivery the system will be tested and put in operation.
So-called production orders (the customer supplies all the specifications, designs, film lay-outs, diagrams, components and testsoftware) are being executed by the Purchase-, Production- and Test Department. The research and development department and the sales and projects department have already evaluated the specifications, documents, etc. when submitting a quotation or starting an order. All possible suggestions like different components, a different framing of components (in favour of EMC regulations) which could lead to changes in the design, have already been discussed.
