Oostingh Staalbouw is a Dutch company that was founded in 1950 in Katwijk in the Netherlands. From the early days our company has grown into a national and international exporting company with approximately 170 employees. The total premises is 40.000 m2 of which 30.000 m2 has been built on.

Oostingh Staalbouw is one of the few steel construction firms in the Netherlands able to carry through a steel structural project from the beginning to end- from design, calculation and drawing right through to the actual preparation, production, coating and assembly.

Oostingh Staalbouw’s engineering department works with sophisticated computer hardware and software to provide efficient steel structures. Our design department works with the computer-aided design program STRUCAD, a “3D solid modeling program” developed especially for the steel construction industry. Drawings can be provided via the Internet. Working with STRUCAD offers the considerable advantage of being able to use data entered into, or generated by, the computer throughout the subsequent processes. For example, STRUCAD generates all the control programs for the computer-controlled machines in the workshop.

At the heart of Oostingh Staalbouw’s production process are four NC-controlled production lines. Wherever possible, processing of hot-rolled profile sections, plates, angle steel and strip material is fully computer controlled. Sections with a height up to 900 mm are sawn and drilled automatically on the highly sophisticated sawing and drilling line. Sections with a height of up to 1.200 mm are drilled and flamecut on the equally sophisticated flame cutting and drilling line..

The skills of highly trained lathe operators combine with those of welders (each of whom is fully certified in the techniques used) in guaranteeing a high-quality product, which fully conforms to the requirements of the NEN-ISO 9001 quality certificate.

Oostingh Staalbouw’s highly experienced and fully equipped assembly teams are responsible for the assembly of the structures produced in the factory. Their equipment includes modern, mobile cranes. For international jobs we would send site supervisors to supervise the erection on site.

All processes at Oostingh Staalbouw take place in accordance with NEN ISO 9001. Our VCA** certificate is a guarantee of continual attention to safety and the environment.
