Peterson Logistics

Peterson's has been a household name in the bulk and commodities trade for a long time. Set up at Rotterdam in 1920 to fill the need for more efficient bulk handling in the expanding port, Peterson's soon gained widespread respect for their refreshingly effective approach to the handling of grains, fertilizers and coal. A key success factor proved to be their meticulous attention to the many time-consuming sidelines of shipping such as vessel clearing and discharging, reliable quality inspection and smooth distribution of the goods to end-users.

By offering 'one-stop-shipping' long before the term was coined, Peterson's experienced an extraordinary growth of demand for their range of dependable vessel and cargo handling services. It led to original, possibly even unprecedented shift of focus. Peterson's disposed of their terminal facilities and henceforth concentrated solely upon rendering services to the bulk- and commodity-shipping world. It was a decision they never had cause to regret.

Over the years, Peterson's continually broadened, deepened and honed their array of services. Although a move away from Rotterdam was never considered - contrary to what some think, Peterson's is 'pur sang' Dutch -, the company did gradually build up a world-spanning network of service and support points.

Today, the Peterson organisation is a globally active, enviably multifunctional and uniquely flexible strategic partner for traders, shippers, end users and anyone else active in the international bulk and commodities markets.
