The Greenery

The Greenery B.V. is one of the leading concerns in Europe in the vegetable, fruit and mushroom sector. The company has a turnover of circa € 1,6 billion and has 2,200 employees, 1,800 of whom work inside the Netherlands, and 400 outside – mainly in Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom.

The Greenery is a distribution, sales and marketing company of fresh produce whose shares are owned by the horticultural cooperative VoedingsTuinbouw Nederland (VTN). The 2,500 producer owned companies who are members of the VTN sell their products via The Greenery.

Throughout the year, The Greenery is able to provide its customers with a complete range of both domestically grown and imported vegetables, fruit and mushrooms. Doing business with The Greenery therefore means doing business directly with ‘the source’.

Since 1998, a number of prominent trading companies have merged with The Greenery. As a result, customers can now be supplied throughout the year with a complete range of vegetables, fruit and mushrooms from sources at home and abroad.

The extensive range of products is backed up by The Greenery with an excellent logistical organisation and extensive marketing support, all geared to the customer’s needs.
